Maple Grove Cemetery, NY
Information Technology Consultant
Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the
Information Technology at the cemetery. This involved being responsible for
hardware and software procurement, designing the network, building and
configuring the Microsoft Windows Servers, including building customized
desktops. Additional hardware included integrating scanners, printers and an
enterprise copier to support the customized imaging solution. In summary:
- Designed an Interment System (MGIS) that was based on
Maple Grove’s process for generating an interment. This includes Database
for Archived and current Lot owner information, Lot Inventory and
Availability.
- Designed, developed and support an Intranet Web
Based Search application that is used by staff to search over tens of
thousands of interments and lot records.
- Responsible for the implementation and management of
our Internet provider. This includes website and email hosting.
- Instituted a project to electronically scan all
Cemetery Lot and Interment Cards. It is completed with over 200,000 images,
including the “BOOK” stored on our server.
- Designed, implemented a Maple Grove Cemetery Website (www.maplegrove.biz),
that’s highlights the Cemetery’s excellence in operations, policies and
procedures, and Community Outreach. In addition, the development and
implementation Maple Grove Historical Archive web application. It is one of
the most hit sections on our website.
- Designed, developed and implemented a Kiosk system.
The Kiosk system allows customers to view information about the cemetery and
services, including cemetery maps.
- In an ongoing effort to automate operations at the
cemetery, responsible for procurement, and configuration of EFileCabinet
software. The new application will be used to integrate all documents
(affidavit, lot card, contract, etc) and images for a lot owner into one
location (Digital File Cabinet).

As a Basis/Netweaver 7.0 Consultant,
providing expertise in support of an ECC6 and Portal 7.0/J2ee Engine
configuration. This included configuring Adobe Document Services and Integrated
ITS in support of the ESS/MSS application (Go Live 2008) .In addition securing
those components utilizing SSL/SNC technology. Conducted stress tests in order
to properly scale the J2EE Engine, Initially adding additional server nodes, and
subsequently recommending a cluster configuration with Web dispatcher and
additional J2EE Instances. Also implemented load balancing on highly utilized
ICF services and JCO connections. Indentified performance bottlenecks and
application configuration problems in ABAP and ICF services. This was
accomplished through analyzing web-diag tool traces, Java traces, SQL traces and

contributions in tuning time and expense transactions and improved

time-lines, proposal and delivery. In delivery, I utilized my COBOL, FORTRAN and
BASIC language expertise to analyze and document findings of the impact of Y2K
on various critical applications during the assessment phase. In addition, I
also conducted studies to determine the tool(s) that would aide the customer in
assessing their Y2K applications throughout their enterprise. Developed an Y2K
